More than a decade into her work as a therapist, Amanda still values the opportunity to have real, honest conversations with people about the parts of life that aren’t always easy to talk about. She sees therapy as a place to get curious about what isn’t working anymore, challenge patterns that keep you stuck, and figure out what it might look like to live with greater confidence and authenticity.
Amanda sees clients ages 12 through adulthood, as well as couples, and has extensive experience with trauma, self-esteem, relationships, substance use, body image, perfectionism, and other concerns that can affect how people see themselves and connect with others. She understands that meaningful change often involves some discomfort, but she doesn’t believe therapy has to feel heavy all the time. Clients can expect warmth, straightforward communication, practical coping strategies, and humor when the moment calls for it.
Self-love, radical acceptance, and courage are important themes in Amanda’s work. She encourages clients to recognize what they can change, make room for what they cannot, and let go of expectations or patterns that no longer fit the life they want. Her own experience doing personal healing work also informs the genuine, nonjudgmental way she shows up with clients.
When she isn’t working, Amanda enjoys baking, crafting, reading, and spending time with her partner, friends, and family.
