San Antonio Therapists & Counselors

Meet the Team

Carin Miller, M.S., LPC-Associate

Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, Supervised by Amanda M. Nevarez, PhD, LPC-S

Carin is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who works with adults and teens (14+) navigating anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns, as well as those whose lives have been shaped by trauma, abuse, neurodivergence, and marginalization. She believes healing happens within a trusting therapeutic relationship, where people can make sense of their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and create a meaningful path forward.

Carin brings warmth, authenticity, and curiosity to each session. She welcomes difficult conversations with compassion and without judgment, helping clients better understand themselves, navigate uncertainty, and move toward their goals.

Her approach to therapy honors each person’s unique story rather than expecting them to fit a particular mold. Carin provides an affirming environment for neurodivergent clients, LGBTQIA+ clients, and those with visible and invisible disabilities, where they don’t have to minimize or hide parts of themselves. Her clinical experience also includes work with individuals affected by domestic violence and housing insecurity.

Carin holds dual master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Behavior Analysis from UT San Antonio and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University. Outside of the office, Carin is a musician, houseplant enthusiast, and animal lover.
