Not every moment in therapy needs to be filled with words. Lauren is comfortable allowing conversations to slow down, giving clients time to think, feel, and notice what comes up without rushing to find an immediate answer. For people accustomed to pressure, expectations, or constantly tending to everyone else, that pause can create room to finally pay attention to themselves.

Lauren provides counseling for teens ages 16 and older and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, or concerns about self-worth. She also helps clients recognize unhealthy patterns that may keep repeating across relationships or different areas of their lives. Together, they can explore where those patterns began, how they function now, and what someone might want to do differently.

Narrative Therapy plays an important role in Lauren’s work. She encourages clients to consider the stories they have developed about themselves and whether those stories leave enough room for their strengths, complexity, and capacity for change. Solution-Focused Therapy allows her to balance that reflection with attention to what is already working and what realistic next steps might look like.

Lauren does not believe therapy needs to feel rigid or overly clinical to be productive. Curiosity, creativity, humor, and quiet reflection can all belong in the process. She adjusts to the pace of the person in front of her while helping clients move toward relationships and a life that feel more consistent with what matters to them.
