It’s National Suicide Prevention Week and it’s important to know that there are a lot of things you can do to help prevent suicide. We challenge you to complete one or more of the following tasks to help those in need.
-
Learn about risk factors and warning signs.
-
Volunteer to answer phone calls for an emergency suicide hotline.
-
Know when and where you can find help if you need it.
-
Donate money or resources to your local suicide prevention organization, and to individuals in your community who are in need of help.
-
Be a friend. You never truly know what someone is going through. Be your kindest self everyday. If you know someone who is going through a hard time, lend an ear.
