Avery McGoldrick M.A., LPC-Associate
Supervised by Amanda Hood, LPC-S
Avery is an LPC-Associate who helps clients find clarity, insight, and a renewed sense of freedom. Many people come to her carrying self-doubt, heavy experiences, or uncertainty, and she provides a safe, compassionate space to explore, heal, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.
Avery encourages clients to believe in themselves, feel empowered in their choices, and take meaningful steps toward becoming the best versions of who they are. She understands from her own wellness journey that growth takes time, patience, and self-compassion. Reaching out for support can feel uncomfortable, but Avery believes it is a brave and transformative step, and that no one has to face life’s challenges alone.
Her approach is grounded in compassion, trust, and authenticity. Avery meets clients where they are, helping them feel heard, seen, and supported without judgment. She focuses on building trust, recognizing strengths, and embracing imperfection as part of the growth process. Avery tailors her work to each client’s unique needs, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to help clients build skills, manage challenges, and achieve their personal goals.
Avery works with clients from age nine through adulthood and welcomes the opportunity to work with younger children with additional guidance. Her areas of focus include life transitions, identity development, anxiety, stress management, and grief.
Outside of the therapy room, Avery finds grounding and inspiration in nature. Whether exploring trails, floating down the river, relaxing by the pool, or gathering around a campfire, time outdoors helps her reset and recharge. She brings this same focus on balance, self-care, and finding small moments of joy into her work with clients.
