Attention-Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) Testing

Attention-deficit hyperactive disorder or ADHD is a common diagnosis that affects about 9.4% of the US population. Assessment is needed to get an accurate ADHD diagnosis so the neurodivergent individual can get appropriate treatment. Sometimes this includes educational or workplace accommodations and/or medication.

During an ADHD assessment, you or your loved one will be given a series of neuropsychological tests to determine if the symptoms you’re experiencing are indicative of an ADHD diagnosis.

Autism Evaluations

As the world gains a greater understanding of autism and neurodiversity we have noticed an increase in autism spectrum diagnoses for ages 3 through young adulthood; we also perform re-evaluations for all ages. Autism is a diagnosis that requires a proper evaluation by a trained professional. An autism diagnosis does not mean you or your child has a disability, but getting an assessment allows you to gain insight into behavior patterns, get early intervention, and pursue appropriate accommodations.

Our thorough autism assessments consist of multiple parts and are designed to meet the unique needs of the individual going through the process. Therefore, the actual psychological tests vary from person to person.

Twice Exceptional Evaluations

Twice-exceptional (2E) refers to a person who is both gifted and has a disability.  It’s important to get an appropriate assessment if you expect your student is 2E. This will ensure their unique educational needs are met and proper consideration has been given to both their academic talents and challenges. Their individualized education plan (IEP) or 504 plan, for an individual who is 2E should address both components by including talent development goals (access to enrichment opportunities), appropriate academic supports, and complete access to the regular education curriculum.

Learning Disorders

Psychological testing is critical to diagnose a learning disability as it helps professionals get a clear picture of where the individual’s strengths and challenges lie. It also helps them come up with an adequate plan for supporting the individual so they achieve the maximum amount of academic success.

We commonly test individuals for learning disorders such as dyslexia, apraxia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, auditory or language processing disorders, non-verbal learning disabilities, and more. The types of tests performed vary greatly depending on the issues and age of the individual we’re testing; however, you can be assured that we will perform a comprehensive evaluation to determine the cause of the issues experienced.

Psychological Evaluations

Have you found yourself wondering why you or your child behaves in a certain way? Or, are you looking for answers and a diagnosis to assist you throughout your treatment process? If so, then psychological testing may be appropriate. We can test for a lot of different things, however, the most common concerns that bring individuals into testing include anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, and more.

Monarch Behavioral Health offers a variety of psychological tests designed to meet the needs of the individual who is being tested. The necessary tests will be dependent on the issues that they’re presenting with.

School Admissions Testing

We offer readiness and ability testing for children ages 2 and up to meet admission criteria for school enrollment.  We have several testing options available. The most typical assessments are the Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test-Second Edition (KBIT-2), WISC-V Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children – 5th Edition (WISC-V), and Wechsler Preschool & Primary Scale of Intelligence-IV (WPPSI-IV). Please note that testing for school admissions is available at private pay costs.
