ADHD In Boys Vs. Girls

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that causes various inattentive and disruptive behaviors. ADHD can present differently between boys and girls. Boys are three times more likely to receive an ADHD diagnosis than girls; this isn’t necessarily because girls are less susceptible to the disorder but  because ADHD symptoms present differently or may present as masked in girls. ADHD symptoms often present more subtle and, as a result, are harder to identify. This will vary from child to child of course, however it is believed that up to 75% of women and girls with ADHD have gone undiagnosed.
