National PTSD Awareness Day
Today is National PTSD Awareness Day.
All month long we’ve been talking about PTSD, what it is, how it can affect a person and how it can be helped. PTSD is a complex disorder that is often caused by experiencing or witnessing trauma.
Here are three things you can do today to help spread awareness around PTSD!
Share one of our PTSD posts on another social media platform or your stories.
Educate yourself further on the symptoms and what you can do to help.
Donate to the PTSD awareness or treatment center of your choice!
Calming techniques include: Deep breathing, mindfulness exercises, and progressive muscle relaxation (which focuses on alternating between tensing and relaxing different muscle groups throughout the body).
