Brittany received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UTSA. She provides counseling services to pre-teens, adolescents, and emerging adults. She supports her clients by helping them develop a positive self-image and healthy coping mechanisms for managing life’s stressors. Her goal for each client is to identify their unique inner strengths and collaborate with them to reach their full potential in achieving their goals.
Brittany supports her clients by guiding them to develop problem-solving tools to gain self-confidence and cultivate empowerment. By practicing from a strength-based approach, she provides a safe space for each client to feel heard and validated in session, ultimately feeling uplifted to achieve their personal goals.
Brittany knows from life experiences that the world can feel overwhelming or heavy at times; she hopes to provide a safe, positive space for her clients, and remind them to utilize their resilience and embrace their inner light. Brittany helps her clients recognize their individuality and unique abilities through identifying personal values, fostering positive self-talk, and practicing self-compassion.
Brittany naturally builds rapport with her clients and brings positive energy into each session. She often finds that she and her clients have common interests including popular/trendy music, favorite food items, favorite movies, traveling, and her love of pets. As a clinician, Brittany values:
Strength based optimism - Her clients have expressed their appreciation for the calming, strength-based office space she has provided, as well as the "positive/fun check-in activity."
Embracing Imperfection - Brittany teaches her clients the importance of self-care and self-compassion. Her clients have expressed their gratitude for feeling heard, supported, and validated during session.
Creativity – Brittany has found that when she incorporates expressive art exercises into sessions, that the client is provided an opportunity to express their feelings in new ways.
