Juliana Guadamuz, M.A., LPC

Juliana is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in counseling from Texas A&M San Antonio (2017). Previously, Juliana has worked in a residential program and with children who have been displaced, and endured trauma, abuse, and neglect. Additionally, Juliana has experience working with children and adults who have suffered from trauma, anxiety, and depression.

Juliana’s clients struggle to see that they already possess the tools for change but just need that little extra push to get there. Through evidence based therapeutic techniques, Juliana guides her clients to believe that they can accomplish their goals while providing a safe space to achieve those goals.

Juliana’s therapeutic style involves helping clients tap into their strengths, identify coping strategies, and use the tools they already possess to help her clients reach their goals. By doing so, Juliana’s clients begin to make positive changes and increase their self-awareness. Juliana strives to be a guide to her clients, encourage them, and provide a safe environment for her clients to share their thoughts and feelings.

Juliana is passionate about self-care, in particular, advocating the importance of mental health and ways to cope during difficult times. For Juliana, self-care and unwinding is traveling, yoga, flag football, and hanging out with friends. Juliana’s clients thank her for being their biggest supporter; they value her direct and straightforward approach when she feels like something is “off.” She believes that real change happens when we allow our real self to show up. As a clinician, Juliana’s values include:

  • Authenticity – Juliana will show up for her clients just how she is, without hesitation, and be direct and honest with her clients.

  • Compassion - At times Juliana may be able to relate to her clients’ experiences, but at the end of the day, she wants to provide a safe space for her clients to carry life’s challenges.

  • Support - Juliana will support and advocate for her clients and be their cheerleader even when it seems like things aren’t going well.
