Ryan is a provisionally-licensed therapist who helps people faced with adjustment challenges; his clients are often looking for answers to questions such as "Why can't I get over this?" "Am I defective for feeling this way?" Ryan is a collaborative therapist who helps his clients recognize that they are not inferior, powerless, voiceless, or alone in their journey. After working with Ryan, his clients feel more empowered to better communicate their needs to others and recognize when they may be asking too much from someone else. Ryan will support his clients, help his clients relate to others whose support they still need, help them process their grief loss responsibly, and help them learn how to communicate effectively.
Not having our needs met can be frustrating. Not knowing what's around the corner can be scary. Ryan helps his clients broaden the lens from which they understand a problem, and realize there may be another approach to the resolution. In many cases, we see things from perhaps only one perspective; he will support clients to achieve decision making and action, accepting their current limitations, and finding some relief to their symptoms of stress.
Ryan knows his clients wish to feel heard, seen, and safe while working with him. Ryan has a unique life story, after a fulfilled military career and various experiences around the globe, Ryan understands how unique we are, despite a world trying to make us all the same. His faith, humility, and control under pressure are evident in his approach with clients.
Ryan believes there is a lot a person can learn from their environment. That's why Ryan hopes that together, he can support his clients in identifying the gaps and obstructions to self-improvement and earn the necessary skills so that therapy can be a thing of the past.
Ryan loves to travel and explore. He is huge fan of cuisines and culture. His interests and passions are opportunities for self-care and gratitude for the many blessings in his life.
Ryan values honesty. He also appreciates when we can laugh with ourselves and have patience to learn from our shortcomings. His clients have thanked him for walking with them through difficult periods of life changes while presenting a professional and consistent source of support.
