National Suicide Prevention Week

It’s National Suicide Prevention Week and it’s important to know that there are a lot of things you can do to help prevent suicide. We challenge you to complete one or more of the following tasks to help those in need.

  1. Learn about risk factors and warning signs.

  2. Volunteer to answer phone calls for an emergency suicide hotline.

  3. Know when and where you can find help if you need it.

  4. Donate money or resources to your local suicide prevention organization, and to individuals in your community who are in need of help.

  5. Be a friend. You never truly know what someone is going through. Be your kindest self everyday. If you know someone who is going through a hard time, lend an ear.

If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts reach out to National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 800-273-8255
