Refusing Talk-Therapy

Talk-therapy isn’t always the right fit for someone. If your child is refusing to participate in talk-therapy, there are a few things you can do to help:

1) Consider alternatives such as play therapy.

2) Talk to your child about the misconceptions of therapy

3) Explain your concerns and

4) How you believe therapy can help.

5) Ask your child what they would like to do , and come up with a plan to move forward together.

If your child is struggling with talk- therapy, we can help.
