Makenna Hanssen, M.S., Psychometrist

Supervised by Dr. Amanda Sharp, Licensed Psychologist

Makenna earned her Bachelor of Science from Angelo State University (2021) and her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University - Commerce (2023). She is working towards her licensure as a Licensed Psychological Associate. Makenna has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in an inpatient hospital and community clinic setting, providing individual and group therapy and psychological assessment services.

Makenna’s focus and passion is psychological testing and assessment. She enjoys having the opportunity to provide clients with a more detailed picture of their current obstacles through assessment and treatment recommendations. Makenna is interested in working with individuals of all ages who have concerns for ADHD, autism, mood, and psychotic features. Makenna aims to provide assessment feedback within the framework of a positive and comprehensive understanding of the client and the concerns that bring them in for testing.

Outside of clinical practice, Makenna spends her time coaching club volleyball, reading, and browsing antique shops. She is a San Antonio native who has recently returned after 6 years of pursuing her degrees and playing collegiate volleyball. She is excited to be back home, in San Antonio, and spending time with her family.
