How to Help Children with PTSD

It’s important to know that children and teens are more vulnerable to being traumatized by accidents, pandemics, violent crime, or other disasters. Treatment will depend on your child’s symptoms, age, and general health. It will also depend on how severe the condition is.  Here are just a few ways in which you can help your child with PTSD move forward after a traumatic event.  Reach out for support from local community services. FInd a support group of other parents who have a child with PTSD.  Take all symptoms of depression very seriously.
