National PTSD Awareness Day

PTSD is a complex disorder that is often caused by experiencing or witnessing trauma. ⠀

If you are someone who is struggling with PTSD, try the following calming techniques the next time you start to feel it coming on, and see if they help: Deep breathing, mindfulness exercises, and progressive muscle relaxation (which focuses on alternating between tensing and relaxing different muscle groups throughout the body).⠀

Here are three things you can do today to help spread awareness around PTSD! ⠀

  • Share one of our PTSD posts on another social media platform or your stories.⠀

  • Educate yourself further on the symptoms and what you can do to help.⠀

  • Donate to the PTSD awareness or treatment center of your choice! ⠀

If you are struggling with PTSD, you aren’t alone. ⠀
