Slow Processing Speed

Although slow processing feed is not uncommon, or a formal learning disability, it can be difficult to deal with on your own. Slow processing speed has also been known to lead to lower self-esteem, depression and anxiety.. So what is slow processing speed?

As you may have guessed by the name, slow processing speed is when people need a lot of time to take in, make sense of, and respond to information.  Visual information, such as characters or numbers,  can all be affected.  It can also affect auditory communication, such as spoken language.  Although some people digest information more slowly than others, it's crucial to note that processing speed has nothing to do with IQ.
